November 30, 2003 | Test Downloads | --
I'm currently trialing a new download method for this site, although if i find it suitable it won't fully replace the current anti-leech plugin currently used for downloading the media files.
It will only be used for a limited number of mp3's and small wmv's for the first 24 to 48 hours when they are first added to my site after which the anti-leech plugin link will replace it.
The reason for trialing it is that anyone will be able to download the files and i will still be able to track the downloads and detect anyone attempting to direct link to them from another site or forum.
So if you would like to assist me in this trial or if you don't have these mp3's please download them and please also click on the form link below and let me know what file you downloaded and if you had any problems or found it much easier to download the file so to help me evaluate this method of downloading.

November 17, 2003 | NME Interview 2003 | -- [From Emma Generation]
The Baby of the Spicies may love The Darkness and have 'gone indie' but shes not about to give up on pop.
Hello Emma. Youve worked with Cathy Dennis on your album. Are you annoyed she gave 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex' to Rachel Stevens?
Its a great song, a really amazing song, but I'm not sure it would have worked for me. It's great for Rachel though. Theres a great songCathy did for me called, er... hang on. It'll come to me. It's called... 'Lay Your Love'.
You're lucky you remembered that.
I know! Phew! It's all about the tunes though, with someone like Cathy. In the Spice Girls, when we were in the studio, I was always the one being Joe Bloggsgoing 'Hang on - hasthis got a tune? Can you whistle to it?.
Presumably you found you were saying that rather a lot during the final Spice sessions...
[Guffaws] Er... [nods] no... [smiles]. But sometimes people try to get a bit clever with music and if you're listening to it for fun, you need to be entertained. I'm loving The Darkness at the moment - they make songs you can sing to. Making a good strong is not something to be ashamed of.
Have you met The Darkness yet?
No, not yet, but i want to. I think he [Justin] is great!
What do you think is at the bottom of Justin's flame tattoo? A barbecue?
A big log! Sorry, I'm going in an unpleasant direction.
You're currently on an indie label. Thats a bit of a rum old, isnt it?
Well after having been on Virgin I wanted somewherewhere I'd get the support i needed. I was growing up i suppose. I'd been in touch with Simon [Fuller] and he was into my stuff, so we founded this thing where we both have complete control over what I'm doing.
But where's the quality control? Who's going, 'Emma, thats rubbish'?
Well you sort of do your own A&R after a while, you know whats good and whats bad.
What, like Prince? His independant stuff has been nonsense. Wheres your perspective?
Well... yes. People do go off on tangents. But I'll go to my family and friends - like my little nephew. If he doesnt dance to something I'll be like, 'Shit. Thats crap get the next one on.'
What was the last honest thing your family told you about your music?
When my mum first heard a demo of my current single she went, 'Hmm, it sounds a bit like a musical.' Which was sort of the point. It's a bit sexier in its finished version.
The video is modelled on 40's musicals. Did you put the small people at the back to make the set look bigger, like they did in the 40's?
Did they really do that? Really? Wow! No. Did you know that when they were making the westerns they used to make doorways smaller for when the men walked through. to make them look bigger?
You could apply that principle to all sorts of things couldnt you?
[Splutters] Yes i suppose you could!
How far would you get if you were to enter Pop Idol? Bearing in mind your to old.
That's awful!
Those are the rules Emma.
That's so bad. Well, I dont know. Isometimes wonder what song I'd sing if i went on - but if I'd deffinately give it a go. I'd work my socks off, and as long as i didnt end up in the audition shows as an example of how not to do it, I'd be fine.
Changing the subject to your former bandmate Mel B, which version of Cribs do you think is better - the official one she did for MTV, or the one that appeared on Bo' Selecta?
[long pause] I'd have to say the real one. But Bo' Selecta is very funny.
I found a Spice Girls carier bag when i moved house last month. Do you want it?
Ooh, yes please! My mum's kept everything but i dont think she has a carrier bag.
Where do you keep your gold discs?
I've got a couple in my kitchen, but most of them are in my mums basement. I go down there every now and then and just go, 'Wow!' Like a twat.
Em, you have remained "In The Place". Do you still like it in your face?
[Horrified] Ahhaha!! That was so rude! I cannot believe we managed to get that into the rap of 'Wannabe'. We had such a laugh doing that sort of thing.
Finally Emma. Have you spoken to Mel C since she buggered her leg in The Games?
Yes. She's fine. It was a bit of a shock for her but she's so strong that she'll be up and about soon.
You see, now is the time to challenge her to a race.
Yes! I'd deffinately win! Hahaha!
FYI
* Emma listens to a lot of Heart FM, even though Magic FM is much better
* She's not sure if 'Crazy In Love' is single of the year
* Emma thinks Atkins-diet mania has "gone a bit far"

November 15, 2003 | News Interview.... | -- [From Emma Generation]
Currently in the Top Ten with Maybe, HERMIONE EYRE asks Emma Bunton how much spice there is in her life these days
The former Baby Spice grew up in Finchley, north London, daughter of a milkman and a fitness instructor. After Sylvia Young Theatre School and roles in television commercials, she answered an advert in The Stage and joined the Spice Girls, the most successful female group in history. She is now building a solo career, and had a Number One with her song What Took You So Long? Her latest single, Maybe is currently in the Top Ten. There are no plans for a cover of Don't Call Me Baby.
What are you up to today?
I've got a little tea party I'm going to. It's my nephew's birthday the terrible twos. We've bought him a little train that you sit on that's electric, so it moves. Me and my mum chose it.
Will you be singing for the kids at the tea party?
No, I think they would rather I shut up. I'll be playing. Lots of games and on the train!
It sounds like it's quite hard letting go of your Baby image.
Your new look is rather Brigitte Bardot especially the video?
Yes, I came up with all kinds of ideas for the video I generally do come up with ideas and that and I was very influenced by a lot of Sixties movies, like Sweet Charity. For me, the Sixties have always been in how I've dressed, down to little short dresses and knee-high boots. I'm always in heels, 'cos I'm only five foot one.
Are you in love at the moment?
I've been single for a while now. I'm really peed off actually we need some good-looking guys out there! But if you're in love it drives you a bit crazy. You can't sleep, you know? We love it.
Do you seduce or are you seduced?
I'm not untouchable; people feel comfortable talking to me, which is great. I like boys that come over and make a good stand. Or when I go out with my mates we do the whole 'my friend fancies you'. Then all of us girls go home together and laugh about it.
Do you have happy memories of being in the Spice Girls?
Absolutely! All of 'em. I had the best time. If I see things on telly I'm still kind of, wow. It was amazing, and doing it with friends was even better.
Is there a sense of competition that wasn't there before?
Not at all. The girls are all so supportive. I had a phone call this week from Victoria she was like, "I love the video."
What do you think you were in a previous life?
I haven't got a clue! I definitely like to believe that we do come back. I was brought up a Catholic, but I'm a very open person to all religions. My mum does healing and reflexology, and I'm hoping to pick that up from her when the time's right.
You were a successful baby model. Didn't you win a beauty competition when you were three?
My holidays were, like, caravan. We used to go to Clacton or Southend, and the competitions were just a nice thing. I'd go with these little friends and when they were disqualified I'd leave with them. Or sometimes you'd get up there and be princess of Clacton. It was great.
In your flat in Hampstead, what's your favourite object?
I'm a big fan of my kitchen table and chairs. They're just very comfortable and that's where we sit when my friends come round.
Have you ever stolen anything?
Actually, this is terrible... When I was 15 it took me half an hour to steal a can of Coke. I just couldn't do it. They probably saw me walking up and down the same aisle, going 'Oh, my God'. They probably thought, bless her, it's taking her so long...
Are you ambitious?
Yes, but not horribly. I wouldn't want to step on anyone.
Do you think people underestimate you?
I hope not, but there's only so many times you can say, "I write the songs." But everyone's got their own opinions. Although people know me as Baby I'm also very adamant, and I know exactly where I want to be and I've got all my ideas.
What makes you angry?
When people aren't loyal, because I'm a very loyal person. And when drivers are really slow at the lights and you've got three cars to get through come on!
Do you shout?
Sometimes, yes, when I'm on my own. Come ON!
Do you make rude hand gestures?
No. I try to keep it pleasant. It would be a bit of a shock to a driver if they saw it was me doing it, bless 'em.

November 01, 2003 | Emma want to appear in Chicago?? | -- [From Emma Bunton Forum on DenDen ]
(Source: 'New' Magazine, page 32)
I heard that the lovely Emma Bunton, 27, is ken to spread her winds and look further afield for showbiz success. The blonde former Spice Girl recently enjoyed a spot of acting when she appeared in the new series of Ab Fab with long time friend, Jennifer Saunders. But it would appear that Emma has a real longing to take to the stage in fishnets and high heels!
My spies tell me that Em is keen to land a role in the hit Weest End musical, Chicago. A source told me, “She is still undecided, but has now seen the show seven times and she’s keen to play the part of Roxie Hart – a role once played by her old friend, Denise Van Outen.”
It seems that Emma is looking at options should her second solo album, Simply Me, not be the success she hopes. But Emma, can I let you in on a secret… you’re up against another Emma who is also keen for the role – Capital Radio DJ, Emma Forbes. The former children’s TV star is reportedly taking singing and dancing lessons, -- and I hear the producers are very keen on her, too!
