Monday May 27, 2002 Who's Emma's breast mate? -- [ From The Sun & Spice Girls Asia ] EMMA BUNTON shows off more than her tan as she steps out with a mystery man after a night clubbing. We snapped her leaving London’s trendy Elysium club. The last time she was there she was in the arms of on-off boyfriend JADE JONES. But this time he was nowhere in sight. A clubber told me: “Emma was there with friends and was flirting with lots of blokes. They couldn’t keep their eyes off her chest. She left with one guy who had a little pony tail and they shared a taxi.” Last night a spokesman for Emma insisted: “She is still single.” CLick here for picture from article. Monday May 27, 2002. Emma Humiliated In Clothes Shop -- [From: Soundbuzz.com and Spice Girls Asia ] [International - 15 May 2002] Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton has found a further drawback to the demise of the band - her endless supply of free clothes is rapidly diminishing. The fading pop star paid a visit to designer store Gucci in London on Saturday, 11 May 2002 to do some comfort shopping. Spotting a pair of gold shoes she fancied, Emma asked the manager, "How much discount am I getting?" Not recognising her, the perplexed manager replied, "Er, none." It wasn't until a fellow shopper whispered in his ear that the manager realised who she was. Taking pity on her, he finally offered her a second pair of shoes free if she paid full price for the first pair. (WENN) Sunday May 12, 2002. BREAKING NEWS: Emma DROPPED -- [ From Solo Spice News ] Emma Bunton is no longer signed as a solo artist with Virgin Records! Rumors started after her website emmabunton.net shut down last friday. Shocked fans posted messages on both her message board and on Victoria's, hoping for an explanation by one of the moderators. Moderator Zoe said the following on Victoria's message board: "I've been told that at the moment, because Emma has a new manager, there is still some uncertainty about which direction her career is going to take. Emma is no longer with Virgin (and I don't know who dropped who, or if it was mutual) but hopefully her new record company will re-instate her site and the messageboard very quickly." Another post said: "It's all been very sudden...but yesterday Virgin told us that as Emma is currently under new management they will not be funding the website or messageboard...this situation could change in the future, but a the moment the only place to get emma news is www.the-raft.com". After being asked what Victoria's situation looks like, Zoe replied: "I should think Victoria is safe...no news is good news as they say! After reading my message again I haven't really made it clear that Virgin and Emma have parted company, the website could become active again in the future if the new management decide to go with it rather than commission another one...we'll just have to wait and see." A real "official" statement is yet to come, however what Zoe said was VERY clear. So thanks to her for at least telling us what is up whereas Virgin themselves simply disconnect the website and say NOTHING. I am feeling sort of angry now, Emma's sales could have been better, I agree, however is that a reason to drop a still successful and talented artist? No official statement is VERY lame as well since she's obviously dropped for quite some time now. Thanks however to the moderators on the forums for being honest with us so know we know for sure what to think of Virgin Records Ltd. What Do You Think? EMMA BACK WITH JADE -- [ From Spice Girls Asia ] Spice Girl Emma Bunton is back in the arms of Damage singer Jade Jones six weeks after they split. UK Tabloid The Sun reported that Emma Jade enjoyed a dinner date at the weekend. They went on to trendy London club Elysium and were quickly getting to know each other all over again. An onlooker at the club said: “I was amazed to see them snogging as I thought it was over between them. “They were dancing together and just couldn’t keep their hands off each other.” Earlier, The Sun reveal that the pair had split with both of them saying at the time that they wanted space to concentrate on their careers. Jade told me: “Our break-up is mutual and amicable.” Emma was then spotted with Blue star Simon Webbe, who has more than a passing resemblance to Jade at the premiere party for Britney Spears' movie Crossroads. It is not the first time Emma and Jade have made up following a split. They started dating in 1998 after meeting at a Spice Girls gig but parted in May 1999. Emma started seeing England footballer Rio Ferdinand before getting back with Jade in November 2000. Saturday May 4, 2002. EMMA'S WEBSITE SHUT? FANS REACTION -- [ From Spice Girls Asia ] Apparently, Spice Girl Emma Bunton's official website www.emmabunton.net has been redirected to the Virgin Record's official site www.the-raft.com. Does it mean that Emma's web site has been shut? Currently, there is still no official statements but fans has began pouring in their thoughts on the latest actions by Virgin. Fans from around the world has been sending in their feedback. At the official Emma Bunton's board, a German fan said " Whow, what a masterstroke again! How can you guys seriously expect an artist to sell when you don't even bother enough to keep their website up? it's really beyond me what you were thinking here, it's not like emma's site was a pain in the ass with regular updates, so why not just leave it? if you are not interested in making and updating your artists websites, you should maybe look around in the community and see that there's so many talented and dedicated fans who could make official sites kick ass and be updated more than once every other month. no, you rather just redirect to the lame general-purpose website that has 0 originality and a horrible "trendy" navigation. can you really expect us to go and buy CDs published by Virgin Records when you obviously don't give a **** about us? I imagine some little kid buying emma's album nowadays, putting it in the computer for the little section and all he/she gets is information on blue's latest video - very good idea!! Now that there's probably no more cash to milk out of Emma (her cd-buying-fans) it's probably to expensive to keep up a website right? I am truly dissapointed, and that being said I am aware that besides Zoe, noone else "official" is even gonna read my post, so it's time that us fans wake up! if you feel like telling virgin what you think, why not contact them? they will surely appreciate our comments! their address and other contact info is on the the-raft-website at http://www.the-raft.com/who_who.asp - just scroll down to the bottom to see it! " Another Australian fan said "The Spice Girls are the biggest girl band in History, so therefore it makes sense that the solo efforts have huge potentional both in the UK and internationally, but if their record company don't give a stuff about doing promotion, including overseas, or even the basic things such as keeping a website open or even letting their fans know, via their website, what they are up too, how do you expect them to be successful. If you ask me, the girls would all be better off at another label that appreciates and recognises their potential for success. " Meanwhile, at the Denden Forum, there has been some speculations wondering if Emma has been dropped by Virgin. A US fan comment "No, it doesn't work for me neither. And I'm in the USA, for what that's worth. Anyway, maybe they're giving it a facelift? Yeah, right! Let's face it, their record label doesn't support 'em anymore." Meanwhile, Spice Girls Asia is still awaiting for Zoe, Emma's board moderator reply to our question. News compiled by Spice Girls Asia News Team Wednesday May 1, 2002. Emma sent packing from top spa -- [ From the 3am Mirror 28/04 & Baby Spice Galaxy 2 ] Emma "not so baby" Bunton was sent packing from one of London's top health spas. The blonde "singer" arrived - with entourage - at The Sanctuary in Covent Garden this week only to be told by staff that the posh spa was full and could not accommodate her. It's a tough life at the bottom Emma, so get used to it. |
