Emma canoodles with Blue's Simon  --  [ From Dominic Mohan's 'bizarre' column in The Sun and thanks lukespicenews for posting this ]
EMMA BUNTON is being comforted by a lookalike of ex-boyfriend JADE JONES — Blue star SIMON WEBBE.
They have struck up a close friendship since the Spice Girl called off her stormy relationship with Damage singer Jade. Emma turned to Simon after they met at a showbiz bash and they were then seen canoodling at the premiere party for BRITNEY SPEARS’ movie Crossroads.

They chatted happily in the VIP area and later sent each other cheeky text messages across the crowded room.  Emma dumped Jade last week after a series of rows, amid rumours that he was unhappy with her working with former lover and manager SIMON FULLER.  A source said: “Emma is upset about splitting with Jade but thinks the best way to get over him is to get out and meet new people. She is a big flirt but she seems particularly keen on Simon — he’s just her type. She arrived late at Britney’s party and Simon was very happy to see her.

“They were very close and sneaked off together to exchange numbers.  “They are keen to keep their friendship secret because Emma doesn’t want to annoy Jade so soon after the break-up.”  Even though Simon is the heart-throb in Blue, he has always managed to keep his love life out of the spotlight — until now.  Emma first dated Jade in 1998, then had a brief fling with England soccer star RIO FERDINAND before resuming her relationship with Jade in November 2000.  But pals always worried that her desire to settle down would clash with Jade’s young, free and single attitude.  He has tried to play down rumours of a row between the two, insisting that their split was “amicable”.

split was "amicable"    --  [ Posted by blondespiceuk on Spice Girls Dotmusic Forum  ]

JADE JONES has spoken for the first time about his split with EMMA BUNTON. The DAMAGE singer said: “It was a mutual and amicable break-up. We’ve decided to concentrate on our careers.”  The pair have dated since 1998 but I revealed yesterday that it was over. Emma appointing ex-lover SIMON FULLER as her manager was said to be a factor.

But Jade said: “There have been no arguments. I’m delighted Simon is managing her, he’s very successful. Emma and I will always be friends.”

Were Not Gonna Sleep Tonight Aussie Release still on hold  --  [ From Spice Girls Australia  ]
2 days ago on the Spice Girls dotmusic forum there was a question posted about if and when the Aussie release of WNGST will occur.  The following is the reply from the webmaster of Spice Girls Australia.

"The WNGST Australian release was put on hold due to negative comments from Radio stations - I was told that by the girls label manager at EMI australia Mark Poston.

I also recieved an email from EMI australia yesterday saying that there are stil "no plans" as regards to the singles WNGST and AMOIO.

The WNGST Aus release is going to have WTYSL performed live on australian show "The Panel" which was accoustic and wicked - I was actually sent a copy of the track from EMI and it sounds awesome!

I really hope it gets released here."
