A pair of sexy blue jeans and a sincere smile goes a long way for some girls - and Emma Bunton is certainly one of those. Outside the Ace Café in Stonebridge, London, on a boiling hot day, dodging paparazzi left, right and centre (the tabloids have heard about the In Style shoot and are closing in on the team), we couldn't be more grateful to see the familiar, sunny grin on the most laidback of the ex-Spice Girls.

"This café is amazing! It's where all the mods and rockers used to come you know. I love it. I love the era it represents - the Sixties style is something that's really influenced me."

Emma's talking fashion. A self-confessed experimenter, when she's not doing mod (a huge trend for Autumn/Winter - this girl is ahead of the times), she's loving this season' biker look. But let's be clear - this is a world away from any Hell's Angels get-up - think sexy miniskirts, tough jackets over floaty dresses, chunky jewellery, spike heels and plenty of denim.

"I feel like a rock chick in quite feminine way. Dolce & Gabbana's funky casualwear is always a favourite look of mine, and I adore Stella McCartney for that slick and sexy look. I'm definitely a shoe girl, too - I've got hundreds of sexy heels, mainly over four inches because they make your legs look lovely. Actually, I borrowed a pair of Vivienne Westwood boots from Victoria Beckham a while back and haven't given them back yet..."

So, what are the sexy superpopstar's best style tips? "When in doubt, go for a classic book - remember, always, that less is more. I like to mix vintage with modern pieces to make the look more authentic, hit the high street on a regular basis [she loves Topshop] to search for hidden bargains. But whatever you do, keep your receipts. I have to, because I never try anything on!"

Cue unaffected giggles from the girl who was famously quoted as saying: "I don't want to be a cutie. I want to be hot and sexy." We've got news for you Emma - you can be both. (Thanks to Carl from Denden for the scans)
